Drywall Repair Questions, Answered Plainly

Prices and quotes
How much does it cost to fix a hole in drywall?
Small holes up to 6 inches start at $350, which is also our service minimum. Medium holes up to 2 ft by 2 ft are $425, and large holes up to 4 ft by 4 ft are $550. Standard texture matching is included in all three — see the full price list.
Do you give free estimates?
Quotes from photos are free. Text 2–3 photos and the year your home was built and we text back a firm price, so there's no time off work for an estimate. If photos alone don't tell the whole story, an in-person look is $150, credited to the repair if you book it.
How do I get a quote without someone coming to my house?
Text 2-3 photos — one close up, one from a few steps back — and the year your home was built. We text back a firm price.
What if the price changes once you start the work?
Our firm price from photos covers the damage you showed us. If we find hidden moisture, mold, or damage once we start, we stop and talk with you before continuing, rather than changing the price without telling you.
What size jobs do you take on?
Anything smaller than one sheet of drywall — 4 ft by 4 ft: small holes, plumbing and electrical cutouts, outlet and panel openings, doorknob holes, and impact damage. See our services for the full list.
Scheduling and repair day
Do I need to be home for the repair?
No. Leave a lockbox code or an unlocked door, and we'll text you once we're headed over. We lock back up before we leave.
How will my floors and furniture be protected?
Floors, nearby walls and anything close to the work are covered with tape and plastic before we start. A couch in the way is moved and covered too — that's included in the price.
Will there be a lot of dust?
The plastic catches most of it, and we clean up the work area before we leave.
How long does a repair take?
Most repairs finish in one visit. If you add painting, that's a separate return visit, because the texture needs time to dry first.
Can you give me an exact arrival time instead of a window?
Yes, for an additional cost — see the price list. The standard arrival window includes a text when we're on the way.
Texture and painting
Can you match my wall's texture?
Yes. Standard textures — orange peel, knockdown, and smooth — are included in every repair. Hand-applied finishes and premium finishes are priced separately; see texture matching.
How closely will the patch match the rest of the wall?
Texture is matched as closely as we can get it, but how it reads up close always depends on the room's lighting and the condition of the wall itself.
What's the advantage of painting the whole wall over just touching up the patch?
A touch-up on just the patch tends to show at the edges, since the sheen or color often reads slightly different once dry, even in the same paint. Painting corner to corner on the full wall is how we avoid leaving that edge in the first place.
What if I don't have any paint left over from before?
We bring Sherwin-Williams and color-match it to your wall, at a higher price than painting with a can you already have — both options are on the price list.
Does painting happen on the same visit as the repair?
No — the texture needs time to dry before we can prime and paint over it, so painting is scheduled as its own return trip.
Your home
Do you work on older homes?
We work on homes built in 1980 or later. Homes built before 1980 are likely to contain asbestos, and we don't work on homes built with asbestos materials — tell us your home's year built when you request a quote.
Why do you need to know when my home was built?
It's part of every quote, along with your photos, and it's how we screen for the one thing we don't take on: homes built before 1980, for the asbestos reason above.
Do I need to clear the room before you arrive?
A couch or 1-2 small items in the way is moved and covered as part of the job. A cluttered room that needs more than that is priced separately — see the price list.
What areas do you serve?
Suburban Front Range communities including Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Centennial, Greenwood Village, Aurora, Thornton, Westminster, Broomfield, Arvada, Commerce City, Erie, Brighton, Firestone, Frederick and Superior. See where we work to find your city.
Business customers
Do you work with property managers and apartment communities?
Yes — we take on overflow and larger repairs for apartment communities, property managers and HOAs, with multi-unit pricing when several units at one property are done on the same trip. See drywall repair for business.
Is pricing different for businesses?
The published price list is the same for everyone. The only difference is multi-unit pricing: at the same property, same trip, the first unit's repair is list price and each additional unit's repair is 15% off. See drywall repair for business for details.
